The Mount Horeb startup marks a successful first year sharing the work of Wisconsin’s high-quality growers, producers and artisan manufacturers through elegant gift boxes that delight, surprise and inspire
March 17 marks one year of sales for WiscoBoxes.com, an e-commerce startup that shares the work of Wisconsin’s many artisans, growers and producers through thoughtfully curated gift boxes.
Following its 2017 launch, WiscoBoxes has seen strong and steady sales growth and currently features 68 vendors from 38 cities, said Sarah Botham, WiscoBoxes’ president and founder. Each of the products is curated with specific intent: to put Wisconsin in the hands and hearts of recipients across the country, she said. The company’s signature red, themed gift boxes draw on the Wisconsin experience and include Purebred Red (a salute to everything UW-Madison and Wisconsin Badgers); Hometown Hospitality (cheese and sausage essential); Hey Baby, Baby (celebrating a new family addition) and the Wisco Sampler (a choice combination of flavors that are tastefully representative of the Badger state).
“The Wisconsin growers, producers and artisan manufacturers who make this business shine earn and deserve the place they find in our boxes”, Botham said, “they embody the true spirit of this wonderful state.”
Indeed, WiscoBoxes was inspired by these incredible makers, she said, the farmers and inventors, the craftspeople and artists who pour Wisconsin pride into everything they do. “WiscoBoxes is a celebration of their ingenuity, their vision and their dedication to producing work of the highest quality that speaks directly to all that is Wisconsin.”
WiscoBoxes celebrated with an anniversary happy hour, 4 - 7 p.m. on Friday, March 16 at the WiscoBoxes office, 305 E. Main St., that is quite literally, “a tribute to how the journey of WiscoBoxes began,” Botham said. More than recognition of a successful first year, the celebration is “time to express our gratitude for all of the growers, producers and artisan manufacturers who make our WiscoBoxes gifts so special and the friends, family, customers, advisors and enthusiastic supporters who have stood by our side through the highs and lows of a startup’s first year. That’s the real celebration.”
