Location: Milwaukee, WIProducts: Calligraphy itemsWebsite: etsy.comEstablished: December 2016 Getting started and inspiration:Liz Wozniak the designer and owner of L. Lynn Lettering Co. got her start when she couldn’t find the perfect gift for her parents’ wedding anniversary. While combing through Instagram she found inspiration from a calligrapher in Green Bay. After some research and an online calligraphy class, Liz was hooked. Calligraphy signs done for her sister’s wedding, inspired others to encourage Liz to start an Etsy shop in December 2016. A hobby turned passion then turned business—Liz styled her brand with blush pinks, simple design and a touch of girly in mind. On her inspiration, Liz says, “I love putting pen to paper and creating something truly unique for clients.” Growth:Lynn Lettering Co. has grown quickly over the past ten months. Starting in December with only a few items, Liz reflected after the holiday season and set her sights on the wedding industry. Providing personalized, beautiful gifts for weddings has made her business grow faster than expected. The future of L. Lynn Lettering Co. includes more home pieces and custom wedding invitations, stationery and accessories.
Personal gifts:Liz creates each item by hand-making each product so no two are ever exactly alike. Love and heart shine through each piece whether it’s a shop standard or unique request. Incorporating special touches in her packaging, like pink x’s and o’s made from craft crinkle paper sprinkled throughout is just one of the ways Liz delights customers. Wisconsin:Born and raised in Wisconsin, Liz has always enjoyed getting away from the city and relaxing in the Northwoods. The genuine, down-to-earth and friendly people of Wisconsin, as well as the scenery, make the state a special, says Liz. While she loves having four seasons and the beauty that comes with each change, she admits that she’s not a fan of winter.
