I am a writer, a maker, a professor, an entrepreneur and a believer. My vision for WiscoBoxes™ is to celebrate Wisconsin’s many incredible growers, makers and artisan manufacturers in a way that provides opportunity for all. This coming together of people and products is not just about exquisite and memorable gifting, it’s about people and stories, memories and traditions. It’s about celebrating the true spirit of Wisconsin and sharing it with others by sending a little piece of home to a far away friend, welcoming a neighbor, comforting a loved one and remembering that when we come together over a good food and a great glass of wine there is not anything we can’t accomplish.
So yes, I believe in a life filled with great people and good opportunities. I believe in happy hour. Because it makes me happy. I believe in dancing barefoot and new beginnings; in old people and well-worn blue jeans. I believe in small towns and slow food, in farmers and soldiers in uniform. I believe in tuxedos and the men who wear them well. I have lived my entire life in Wisconsin. I love its people and its exquisite places. And I look forward to sharing them all with you.
Megan has long been the go-to gift giver among friends and family; always discovering the perfect gift to complement any recipient and every occasion. Growing up in River Falls, she enjoyed weekend trips to the family cottage on Lake Koshkonong, cheering on the Badgers and Packers and trips to the Madison Farmers Market. Her heart belongs to Wisconsin but she loves to travel and explore with her husband, Ben, and spirited dog, Chancho. A party planner at heart, she can’t resist pulling together invites to go along with appetizers and desserts with friends. And like Sarah, she is a believer in happy hour(s).
After working at the University of Wisconsin–Madison for six years as an outreach and communications coordinator, Megan was ready for a career change. During a happy hour with Sarah, the two dreamed up the perfect position for Megan as brand manager for WiscoBoxes.
As solutions manager, Holly is the glue that holds our team together, the rodeo rider who ropes us in and keeps us on task and the force who manages our daily operations, schedule, stockroom and so much more.
Prior to joining WiscoBoxes, Holly worked as a patient coordinator at Monona Dental, for three years a nursing assistant at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and for nine years a mobile communications consultant at AMS (Auto Marketing Services), an agent for US Cellular. When she’s not managing the calendars of many, she is enjoying time with her daughter, Makayla, and extended family, and volunteering time in various civic organizations.
