I am a writer, a maker, a professor, an entrepreneur and a believer. My vision for WiscoBoxes is to celebrate Wisconsin’s many incredible growers, makers and artisan and iconic manufacturers in a way that provides opportunity for all. This coming together of people and products is not just about exquisite and memorable gifting, it’s about people and stories, memories and traditions. It’s about celebrating the true spirit of Wisconsin and sharing it with others by sending a little piece of home to a far away friend, welcoming a neighbor, comforting a loved one and remembering that when we come together over a good food and a great glass of wine there is not anything we can’t accomplish.
So yes, I believe in a life filled with great people and good opportunities. I believe in happy hour. Because it makes me happy. I believe in dancing barefoot and new beginnings; in old people and well-worn blue jeans. I believe in small towns and slow food, in farmers and soldiers in uniform. I believe in tuxedos and the men who wear them well. I have lived my entire life in Wisconsin. I love its people, its exquisite places, its extraordinary experiences. And I look forward to sharing them all with you.
Gina grew up in south central Wisconsin and now calls Madison home. She is a University of Wisconsin - Madison alumnus from the department of Consumer Science and Retail in the School of Human Ecology.
As associate brand manager, Gina is the architect of curation, assessing trends, demographics and customer needs against the character of the WiscoBoxes brand. She loves the feeling of finding the perfect gift for someone and enjoys the challenge of discovering uniquely Wisconsin products that will delight and surprise each and every WiscoBoxes gift recipient.
She loves spending time outside, playing volleyball, cooking out or simply enjoying a pitcher of cold beer at the Memorial Union Terrace on a warm summer evening. She believes that Saturdays are best spent at the farmer's market or surrounded by friends cheering on the mighty Wisconsin Badgers at Camp Randall. On Saturdays during the winter months you're most likely to find her shopping for the latest Wisconsin treasures or enjoying coffee at one of Madison's many local cafes.
As solutions manager, Jessica is the mistress of data, an inventory specialist and the force behind our daily operations, schedule, stockroom and so much more. Throw a challenge her way and she'll find a process to solve it.
As a student in her senior year at UW-Madison (On Wisconsin!) Jessica is studying Consumer Science and Retail, thus putting the power of data behind the trends we embrace and the marketing tactics we choose.
When she's not studying or solving process challenges at WiscoBoxes, she enjoys reading, traveling and discovering the hidden gems of Madison and throughout Wisconsin.
